The three-day event, held from November 18-20, 2025 at Mazak’s European Manufacturing Plant and Technology Centre in Worcester, highlighted how the company's advanced machining technologies can help UK manufacturers streamline production, boost efficiency and future-proof operations.

Visitors experienced over 19 live-cutting demonstrations – featuring multi-tasking, 5-axis, turning, and vertical machining, alongside the newest laser processing machines and automation systems – as well as exclusive tours of the facility, led by Mazak apprentices.

The company also showcased how its integrated solutions can enhance productivity, reduce cycle times and enable digital connectivity through the latest MAZATROL CNC technology.

As the only machine tool manufacturer that designs and builds new products in the UK, Mazak drew particular interest in its Worcester-produced machines. In addition to the popular QUICK TURN lathes and VCN/VTC vertical machining centres, two new UK-made ranges stood out: the INTEGREX j-200 NEO and the next generation of the CV5 series.

With production of the INTEGREX j-200 NEO now underway, this new line – alongside investments in automated laser cutting within Mazak’s Sheet Metal Department – proved a highlight of the factory tours.

Dedicated ‘Technology Tours’ at the European Technology Centre showcased Mazak’s latest innovations, including automated gear manufacturing, entry-level 5-axis machining, multi-tasking solutions, and advancements in connectivity through Mazak iCONNECT and the new MAZATROL DX platform. Attendees were also able to network with leading suppliers of complementary technologies designed to improve machining efficiency.

Beyond the technology on show, visitors were able to test their driving skills on multiple F1 racing simulators for a small charitable donation, raising over £800 for Macmillan Cancer Support. The fastest lap time recorded was 1 minute and 29.37 seconds.

“After three days of conversations with customers, it’s clear there is strong appetite for investment and a readiness to embrace technology to drive productivity. This has been reinforced by the high level of interest following the event, particularly in our expanding portfolio of UK-made machines," Alan Mucklow, Managing Director, UK & National Distributors at Yamazaki Mazak, said in a statement.

"This feedback validates our strategy to enhance the capability and range of machines manufactured in Worcester, meeting the specific needs of European users while reducing lead times for businesses ready to invest. We look forward to building on this success with our customers.”
