The company has acquired Advanced Mechanical Engineering AB (AME), a long-standing channel partner with decades of experience in the CAD/CAM sector.
The acquisition brings AME’s regional expertise and established customer relationships directly into Mastercam’s operations, enhancing support and service delivery across these key markets.
Advanced Mechanical Engineering AB has represented Mastercam in Sweden and Norway for over 30 years, providing CAD/CAM solutions and technical assistance to manufacturers in both countries. Following the acquisition, AME will operate under the name Mastercam Sverige, reflecting the company’s commitment to delivering localised support.
“This integration is about more than growth – it is about strengthening our connection to manufacturers across EMEA,” Stuart Adams, Regional Executive Director-EMEA at Mastercam, said in a statement.
“By combining AME’s deep local expertise with Mastercam’s global resources, we are ensuring customers in Sweden and Norway receive faster, more tailored support and solutions that truly reflect their needs.”
The move forms part of Mastercam’s wider strategy to provide direct customer relationships in key markets, replacing the traditional channel partner model. This approach is intended to deliver immediate access to technical expertise, faster problem resolution and customised training programmes delivered by specialists with in-depth knowledge of local manufacturing requirements.
The acquisition also aligns with Mastercam’s broader growth objectives, the company said, which combine organic innovation with strategic acquisitions to expand market reach and strengthen customer service capabilities.
As part of Sandvik’s digital manufacturing portfolio, Mastercam continues to advance connected manufacturing processes and provide comprehensive support to manufacturers worldwide.
