The event will take place from January 26 - 30 for visitors from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and from February 2 - 6 for international guests.
Over the two weeks, DMG MORI will present machining solutions designed for businesses of all sizes, with particular emphasis on applications for aerospace, semiconductor, and die and mould industries.
"We combine future-proof machining technologies with integrated processes, automation, digital solutions and reliable service throughout a production system’s entire life cycle," Cornelius Noess, Chief Managing Director of DMG Mori Pfronten, said in a statement.
"In this way, we demonstrate to companies of all sizes, especially small and medium size enterprises, that modern manufacturing does not have to be complex if production systems are holistic, modular and tailored to the customer’s requirements."
More from Machinery
Across an exhibition space of 4,500 square metres, more than 40 machines and over 20 automation solutions are set to be on display. Among the highlights will be four world premieres: the CTX 450 4A universal turning centre, designed for optimal connectivity in networked production; the LASERTEC 65 DED hybrid, which combines additive and subtractive machining processes; the second-generation DMU 65 H monoBLOCK, a 5-axis horizontal machining centre with enhanced process integration; and the third-generation Robo2Go automation system.
A dedicated automation area will demonstrate driverless transport systems and mobile robots for autonomous handling of machine pallets, material pallets, chip carts and tools, illustrating how fully automated shop floor processes can be achieved without human intervention.
The open house will also mark the opening of a new training centre at Pfronten. This facility will support the development of approximately 150 apprentices, trainees and degree apprentices, preparing them for the requirements of Industry 4.0. According to the firm, the DMG MORI Academy continues to collaborate with educational institutions to provide practical training for future engineers, while ensuring an optimal learning environment within the company.
Complementing the exhibition, seminars will also explore DMG MORI’s MX (Machining Transformation) concept, which aims to address key challenges in global manufacturing, including skills shortages, energy efficiency, production speed and software complexity.
